Plastics & Petrochemicals

SSPL has been working in the plastics and petrochemicals industry for over twenty five years, selling all kinds of raw materials to hundreds of clients across Pakistan. During that time, we have partnered with ExxonMobil Chemical, BP and Reliance Industries Limited in this area. Recently, SSPL has also been selling product from Iran.

Our chief focus is on the following areas:

• PTA
  
• Methanol

Steel

Pakistan is one of the fastest growing markets in Asia. The size of the steel sector has doubled in the past ten years, and is on course to repeat that feat in the next ten. Low per capita consumption of steel, a sixth of the global average, means there is scope for growth beyond that.

SSPL is focused on the following main areas:

• Deformed Bar (ASTM 615)
  
• Wire Rods
  
• Stainless Steel
  
• Scrap
  
• Hot Rolled Coils
  
• Cold Rolled Coils

We are also offering stainless and special alloy steel from India. This product range includes bars, wire rods and stainless steel slabs and billets.

Cotton

SSPL has been dealing in raw cotton and textiles for over fifty years. We have been in the cotton import and export business since 1951, and are well-known in the trade. SSPL is also a member of the K. C. A. (Karachi Cotton Association) the premier cotton-trading and regulating body in Pakistan.

Our Director, Mr. Shahid Shafiq, has served as Vice President of the KCA in 1995 and has been a Director of the KCA over six times. He is presently serving as a Director as well. He has also served All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) in the capacity of Vice –Chairman.

Our focus is chiefly on the following:

• Imports- SSPL imports from all sources (i.e. West African, CIS, Greek, Brazil, U. S., Indian, Egyptian cotton)
  
• Exports (Pakistan Raw Cotton) to various regions

We then distribute the cotton to our customers across the country.
